Here are my final thoughts after an intensive week of tasting over 200 wines:
2005 is, across the board, an exceptional vintage. One very rarely seen in Bordeaux. The best two regions were Margaux and Pomerol but all of the Medoc did exceptionally well. Both St. Emilion and Graves also made some extraordinary wines but I found less consistency in these two regions.
